PT Angkasa Pura II will readily make available rapid test services in Terminal 3 with the government anticipating a surge of travelers during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Indonesian airlines have made rapid tests mandatory before boarding in which the results cannot be older than 14 days.
“The testing locations will be at Terminal 3 and we are also planning to provide drive-thru testing centers,” said PT Angkasa Pura II CEO Muhammad Awaluddin.
The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport operator is working with Farmalab, a subsidiary company of Indofarma, to make their Covid-19 testing plans a reality.
The rapid test location can be found at the Small, Micro & Medium Business Incubator with Learning and Experience Center.
“The location is an open area with green space while on the other side there are several commercial tenants.”
Awaluddin additionally said that his company continues to operate the Airport Health Center which offers an antibody rapid test at Terminal 2 of Indonesia’s main airport.
The cost for the test is $5.81 (Rp 85,000) including a doctor’s note.
“In preparing for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, PT Angkasa Pura II will increase several aspects including our human resources, primary and supplementary facilities in addition to the implementation of health procedures.”
