JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Dublin-based Hostelworld dubbed Nusa Penida as the number one destination for backpacking in Indonesia this year.

Based on the data collected by the Irish hostel reservation platform, accommodation bookings by UK travelers to Nusa Penida increased by 610 percent in 2019.

There are two types of trips on the island, a return trip via a speed boat or booking a stay.

Hostelworld explained that Kelingking Beach in Nusa Penida was the factor that drove many UK travelers to the island as the beach features a cliff shaped like a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

The rhythm of life on the island is also an attractive element for British travelers with plans on backpacking in Indonesia.

At this blissful place, tourists can see manta rays or easily rent a car or motorbike to explore the vast beauty Nusa Penida has to offer.
