KOMPAS.com – Indonesians can rejoice as UK visa applications are being accepted giving plenty of time to prepare before a year-end holiday.
Based on the VFS Global website, applications for a UK visa have opened in Jakarta, Bali, and Surabaya since July 6, with every office adopting Covid-19 health protocols.
John Nickell, spokesperson for the Embassy of the United Kingdom and Great Britain in Jakarta, confirmed the news.

“It is currently possible for Indonesian citizens to submit a UK visa application for all types of visas. Indonesians are able to travel and enter the United Kingdom as normal,” Nickell said on October 9.
Although the British government does not require any Covid-19 test results for travelers, tourists are required to undergo self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.
The policy applies not only to Indonesian citizens but foreigners from all countries.
How to submit a UK visa during the pandemic
Indonesian travelers can visit the nearest VFS Global office to submit an application, however, individuals are required to respect the Covid-19 health protocols including wearing a face mask and body temperature checks.
Another requirement for a British visa is to first book an appointment via the Visa Application Center.
