KOMPAS.com – A fire broke out Saturday evening at the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) building in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, an official said on Saturday, August 22.
Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency head Satriadi Gunawan said at first flames could be seen coming from the sixth floor and spread quickly to the third level.
“A distress call was received at 7:15pm local time. We tried to localize the fires after receiving the information that it was coming from the sixth floor and spreading to the third floor,” KompasTV quoted Satriadi as saying.
Currently, 23 fire engines and 120 firemen have been deployed to put out the fire. As of 8:11pm, the firemen were still battling the blaze.
